Pepe & Coco need a foster home / forever home

FOSTER / FOSTER WITH VIEW TO ADOPT / ADOPTION HOME NEEDED

Coco and Pepe are 9-year-old miniature poodle brothers who are looking for a home together.

They came to Jersey when they were 2 years old from another lovely rescue. As they find travelling stressful, we have agreed to help with rehoming them here rather than them needing to travel again.

Coco and Pepe are looking for a new home due to changes in their current circumstances.

We would be very grateful to hear from anyone who could offer them a foster home while we look for their forever home. We would also welcome applications from anyone interested in adoption, or foster with a view to adopt.

They are both lovely, friendly boys and are looking for a quieter home where they can have company for much of the time. They can be left, but they are not used to being left for long periods or regularly.

They are currently living with a toddler and a baby, and although they are not unkind dogs, the noise and routine of young children is causing them anxiety. For this reason, they are looking for a home without young children. Visiting children would be fine, provided Coco and Pepe have a quiet space they can go to if they want to rest.

They do not travel well at present, so this is something a new home would need to consider. If regular or longer journeys were needed, their new family would need to be prepared to help them with this slowly and kindly.

As poodles, they will need regular grooming. Adopters would need to consider the ongoing cost of this. Grooming costs are covered for our foster homes.

Both boys are very affectionate and love nothing more than sitting on or beside their humans on the sofa. They enjoy their walks and currently go out with a professional dog walker.

They could possibly live with another calm dog or dogs. We are unsure about cats at this stage.

They would be most settled if they were able to sleep in the bedroom with their human or humans.

At the moment, we are only considering applications for Coco and Pepe as a pair. We may consider homing them separately if we cannot find a suitable home together, but only where there is another calm dog in the home.

Coco — phantom colouring

Coco is a real little cuddle companion. He loves being tucked up under a fleecy blanket, watching reality TV with his humans, and generally being close by. He is apparently not a fan of Bruce Almighty or Dr Dolittle, but otherwise he is very happy with a cosy spot and good company.

One of Coco’s sweetest habits is how he greets you when you come home. He proudly brings one of his treasured possessions over to welcome you back.

Pepe — apricot colouring

Pepe is a happy, affectionate boy who loves a game of fetch and will bring the ball back again and again. He enjoys sunbathing, frozen lick pads, and spending time with his people.

He is a loving little dog who enjoys company and would make a very loyal companion.
