JRD in the Bailiwick Express

14th February 2026

We were delighted to feature in the Bailiwick Express today, highlighting the work Jersey Rescue Dogs is doing to find loving forever homes and foster homes for some of our wonderful rescue dogs.

The article shines a light on several of the dogs currently in our care, including Buddy, a terrier-cross who had a difficult start in life; Kim, a gentle retired racing greyhound; Smokey and Ginger, a pair of whippet sisters; and Rory, an energetic young lurcher. Each of them is looking for the stability, patience and love that a permanent home can offer.

The piece also explains how fostering plays a vital role in helping us support more dogs in need. We provide food, bedding, equipment and ongoing support – all we ask from our foster carers is time, kindness and a safe place for a dog to land while they wait for their forever family.

If you’ve been thinking about adopting, fostering, donating or supporting us in any way, now is the perfect time. We’re incredibly grateful to the Bailiwick Express for helping us spread the word and shine a spotlight on these very special dogs.
