Breed: French Bulldog

Age: 8-9 yrs

Live with other dogs: Ideally an only dog home, however possibility of living with another dog subject to slow introductions / meet ups.

Live with cats & small furries: Not tested

Live with children: 8+ who are dog savy. No toddlers / young kids.

Mabel is an easy going, lovable girl who is a pleasure to be around and plenty of love to give.

We are looking for an experienced family with bracycephalic/bulldog knowledge.

She is used to having someone home for some of the day but is ok for 3-4 hours. Ideally an adult only home, or a home with older children 8+ who are dog savvy. Mabel is worried by toddlers so she won’t be homed with very young children or households who have regular young visitors.

Mabel loves traveling in the car, and enjoys her walks. She also loves rolling around in the sand. On warmer days, gentle walks and enjoying her own garden area would be ideal.

Mabel walks nicely on the lead, but can be reactive with other dogs, and other times will just stop and stare. She prefers to have her own personal space around new dogs. She is currently only lead walked or on a long line.

She currently lives with other dogs and does snuggle with her housemates and was fine with family dogs who were visiting. She seems most comfortable meeting new dogs in her home environment when she’s at ease.

Due to her reactivity and sometimes being territorial, we feel she would benefit from a pet free home. She would also love the 1:1 attention.

However the possibility of living with another tolerant dog could be an option with experienced owners with introductions being slow and integration managed with baby gates etc over time.

Mabel is not on any regular medication. She has had the odd skin and ear issues in the past which Frenchie’s are prone to. She is spayed, and vaccinations will be up to date along with flea and tick treatment.
